Softcover binding: the elegant option
Another elegant binding option is softcover binding. This „envelops“ the printed pages almost completely and most closely resembles the cover of a paperback. This type of binding therefore does not require a headband (see hot glue binding above), but offers a seamless appearance from left to right across the spine. Depending on the length of the work and the number of copies required, production takes 1–2 working days. You can calculate the cost of softcover binding below. Note: The binding usually only holds if there are enough sheets of paper, but the calculator takes this into account.
Customisation of the softcover binding
Of course, the design of the cover is entirely up to you; you have complete freedom. Many people print the title on the front, some leave it blank, or keep the design simple by including just the words „Bachelor’s thesis“ and the author’s name.
